Global Seminar: Art in France Interest Meeting

This unique program based in Paris offers unforgettable insights into French art from the 1700s to present. Led by Frances Charteris, classes are held in museums, gardens, and on the streets of Paris and during excursions to Brussels, Giverny, Nancy and Metz. You will also be encouraged to experience French life by going to open air markets, jazz clubs, neighborhood cafés and festivals. Italian Language Week

The French and Italian Department celebrates the Italian Language Week (Oct. 22-25). Monday, Oct. 22: Bilingual readings of Dante, Petrarca, Boccaccio at 7pm HUMN 250. Win a bilingual book of one of these authors! Thursday, Oct. 25: How Italian can be your special unique skill in a tough job market - Testimonials from people who use Italian on their jobs, at 7pm HUMN 135. Refreshments following. Stop at our table in HUMN Oct. 22 and 25, and in the UMC Oct. 23 and 24 for snacks, prizes and to know more about Italian.

The Herd's Nearly Naked Mile

Give the shirt off your back! THE NEARLY NAKED MILE CLOTHING DRIVE IS HERE! Friday, Oct. 26 at the Koenig Alumni Center from 8-10 pm. The Herd’s 7th annual Nearly Naked Mile is back, and this year’s theme is SUPERHEROES. This is your chance to be a superhero for a great cause! So grab your cape and come to the Nearly Naked Mile. Tricks, Treats, & Exorcisms!

Tuesday | Oct. 30 | 7-8:30 pm Join Lutheran Campus Ministry & Canterbury Colorado for some Halloween fun. We'll have plenty of Halloween treats, but we'll also hear about the role exorcisms play in the Lutheran church in Madagascar. Rev. Ron Roschke will share his first hand experience in Madagascar's healing villages. We'll meet at Grace Lutheran Church on the Hill (13th & Euclid).

Women Who Make A Difference

Do you know a woman who’s made a difference in your life or the lives of others? The Women’s Resource Center invites you to nominate her for Women Who Make a Difference, a celebratory dinner on Dec. 11 for influential women in our lives. Nomination forms are available in UMC 416 or on the WRC’s website. Submissions are due Friday, Nov. 16 by 5 pm to UMC 416 or to wrcprograms@colorado.edu.

DIY Daze: Free workshops on practical skills!

Two days of wonderful work shops to build community and share skills. Please come and bring friends! Together we can build some new snow tires, a mini garden for your window sill, radical relationships, a street art mural, screen printing frames, and potentially a future where we rely on one another and not corporations to fulfill our needs. Everything is free! Oct. 18-19, 12-5 pm. All workshops will be held on the first floor of the Natural History Museum on the west side (or just South of the building, if the weather permits)!
