"Preparing Students For A Changing Climate" Keynote Webcast

Join the Environmental Center in celebrating the 10th anniversary of Campus Sustainability Day with a panel discussing the role colleges and universities must play in creating sustainability education for all students. How can colleges and universities prepare students for a changing climate, society, and economy through sustainability education? We will have a group viewing of the broadcast in UMC 353. Campus Sustainability Day

Campus Sustainability Day is a nationwide celebration of the achievements of the students, faculty, and staff who are integrating sustainability principles and practices into their institutions and surrounding communities. On Oct. 24, 2012, Campus Sustainability Day will emphasize connecting to new groups and allies on campus, highlighting student stories, connecting diverse planning efforts, and reaching out to external partners who can help you move toward success.

The national Bioneers conference will return to the University of Colorado at Boulder for its tenth year at a three-day conference Nov. 9-11, presented by the CU Environmental Center. The conference, entitled “From Breakdown to Breakthrough: Reimagining Civilization in the Age of Nature,” will create community opportunities for sharing, learning and action by bringing together the region's progressive ideas, people and organizations. Fun research projects for kids!

The Cognitive Development Center in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is looking for children age birth to 14 years old who are interested in playing games that will help teach us about memory and language development. A visit, scheduled at your convenience, lasts about 30 minutes. Babysitting is available for siblings. Parents are compensated for travel and kids receive a fun prize.
