Using the D2L Quiz Tool

Event Date: Tue, Feb. 5, 2013 - 12-1:30 p.m. Learn how to create online quiz using the D2L Quiz tool. D2L offers powerful online assessment system, allowing not only the creation of one time quizzes but also large question libraries that extend beyond a single class or semester. Panel Discussion: Unearthing the El Salvador Human Rights Archives

Friday, Feb. 8, 12-1:30 p.m. in the WGST Gates Woodruff Cottage library, light lunch incl. This special panel unveils the El Salvador Human Rights Archives housed at CU-Boulder. The discussion will include the opportunities these archives present and the challenges associated with using the archives. Panelists include Michele Leiby, Asst. Professor at the College of Wooster, who has used the archives; Bruce Montgomery and Yolanda Maloney of Norlin Library who collected the archives; and Asuncion Horno-Delgado, from the Dept. of Span/Port.

Special Lecture: Explaining State Repression & Sexual Violence in El Salvador

Thursday, Feb. 7, 12:30-1:45 p.m. IBS 155 Dr. Michele Leiby, Asst. Professor of Political Science at the College of Wooster, is presenting her work based on a the El Salvador Human Rights Archive, a unique resource available only at CU-Boulder. This project examines patterns of state-perpetrated sexual violence and other forms of political violence during the civil war in El Salvador to understand why militaries engage in such violence. Kayak Roll Clinic
