Thunderchief 5K Run Coming Up!!

The Thunderchief 5k walk/run will take place on the University of Colorado Boulder campus at 9 a.m., Saturday, April 13, 2013. Air Force ROTC Detachment 105 at the University of Colorado Boulder is donating a portion of the proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Project. We will run the race rain or shine!! Participants needed for research study at University of Colorado at Boulder ages 12-21

Research Participants ages 12-21 needed ADAPT is a place for young people ages 12-21 who are worried about experiencing unusual thoughts, suspiciousness or paranoia, or seeing or hearing things that are not there. Earn $25 for participating in a short screening interview. You may be invited to participate in a 2-year longitudinal study ($25 per hour for 7-9 hours each year). Don’t miss this free workshop the Tuesday after Spring Break! $tart $mart is an interactive workshop designed to give college women the confidence and skills to earn fair compensation upon graduation. JWST/HEBR 4203, Israeli Literature: Exile, Nation, Home - fall 2013 core course

In this course we examine Israeli literature from its beginnings to the present day. We read texts written by Israeli Jewish and Arab writers and explore how ideas of exile, nation and home play into the Israeli experience. Recommended prereqs.: Any 1000 and 2000 level literature courses, Hebrew/Jewish Studies courses, or with Instructor’s permission. Taught in English. Approved for arts & sciences core curriculum: literature and the arts

Fall 2013 core course: GRMN/HUMN 1701-3. Nature and Environment in German Literature and Thought

This course critically examines titles in German literature and thought. Nature and environment are used to explore alienation, artistic inspiration, nihilism exploitation, sexuality, rural versus urban, meaning of the Earth, cultural renewal, identity and gender. This survey of German classics covers conceptions of nature such as idylls, artificial environments, human nature (generation, milieu), failed natures and monstrosities, wilderness etc. Taught in English. Approved for arts and sciences core curriculum: ideals and values.
