Real Choices Student Organization is presenting a Poetry Slam on March 31 in the UMC room 225. Awarding-winning poet Ayinde Russell will be co-hosting and also giving a writing workshop after the slam. We encourage all poets and creatively-minded students to submit their work to us at choices@colorado.edu . The winner of the slam will get their work in Rooster Magazine and the Colorado Daily, as well as a Campus Cash gift card.

Sunday, April 26 is the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's annual CU Campus Walk. It's free to join and an awesome event for showing some love to those who have dealt with suicide and also learning more about the topic. The walk is free, but for those who want to do some fundraising there are tons of prizes; everything from Project Pie pizzas to AFSP merchandise.

Obtain hands-on experience in principles and practice of ecology and conservation biology. Also included is a visit to the Bellavista Cloud Forest, a rare and endangered ecosystem in Ecuador. Special Undergraduate Enrichment Programs invites nominations from undergraduates who have worked with CU faculty on research, scholarly and creative projects for SUEP’s Outstanding Undergraduate Faculty Mentor Awards. Nomination letters should be 750 words or less and should provide concrete examples of how the faculty mentor has excelled in all of the following areas: training, professional development, ongoing support, evaluation and feedback and impact on student learning and development.
