IMPART Grants - Call for Applications – Due April 3

IMPART Fellowships (up to $4,000) are available to CU-Boulder faculty. We seek proposals that improve the campus environment in the area of gender, ethnic and cultural diversity that promote inclusive excellence. Support for faculty members (especially assistant professors) to initiate new research and scholarly programs as well as expanding the undergraduate curriculum in the areas of ethnic and gender diversity are encouraged. Poetry Slam

Real Choices Student Organization is presenting a Poetry Slam on March 31 in the UMC room 225. Awarding-winning poet Ayinde Russell will be co-hosting and also giving a writing workshop after the slam. We encourage all poets and creatively-minded students to submit their work to us at choices@colorado.edu . The winner of the slam will get their work in Rooster Magazine and the Colorado Daily, as well as a Campus Cash gift card.

2015 Out of the Darkness Campus Walk

Sunday, April 26 is the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's annual CU Campus Walk. It's free to join and an awesome event for showing some love to those who have dealt with suicide and also learning more about the topic. The walk is free, but for those who want to do some fundraising there are tons of prizes; everything from Project Pie pizzas to AFSP merchandise.

Study ecology and evolution in the Galápagos Islands - Winter 2015-16 study abroad program

Study ecology and conservation in one of the most biologically diverse locations on the planet: the Galápagos Islands. Obtain hands-on experience in principles and practice of ecology and conservation biology. Also included is a visit to the Bellavista Cloud Forest, a rare and endangered ecosystem in Ecuador. Earn three upper-division EBIO credits with course hours in the fall and then on-site next winter break. Join us to learn more: Tuesday, March 3, 4:30 p.m., Center for Community, N215.

Deadline approaching: Call for nominations for Outstanding Faculty Mentor Awards

Special Undergraduate Enrichment Programs invites nominations from undergraduates who have worked with CU faculty on research, scholarly and creative projects for SUEP’s Outstanding Undergraduate Faculty Mentor Awards. Nomination letters should be 750 words or less and should provide concrete examples of how the faculty mentor has excelled in all of the following areas: training, professional development, ongoing support, evaluation and feedback and impact on student learning and development. Email letters to urop@colorado.edu by March 1, 3 pm.
