CU Women’s Resource Center Annual Awards: Women Who Make a Difference 2015

Do you know a woman who makes a difference in your life or in the lives of others? The Women’s Resource Center invites you to nominate this person for Women Who Make a Difference! All people nominated will be recognized at a celebratory reception held on Thursday, Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. Nominations are due by Monday, Nov. 9, at noon. Halloween Open House

Please join the Women's Resource Center on Friday, Oct. 30, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in UMC 415-417 for a spooky time at our Halloween Open House. Fun activities include playing board games and making dirt pie. Free food and drinks while supplies last. Open to students, staff and faculty. Costumes welcome.

LGBT+ Students of Faith is an all inclusive group that aims to bridge the gap between the queer community and faith. We are a group of students who: tell each other the truth, forgive our enemies and embrace our neighbors and our differences. No matter who you are, or where you are with your faith or your sexuality, you are welcome! We meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. the last Monday of every month in N351A.

Volunteer Resource Center 50th anniversary and service challenge

The VRC's 50th anniversary is coming up. Over the past 50 years, we have worked to create a culture of service and engagement within our communities. Please join us on Nov. 12, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the Abrams Lounge on the C4C 3rd floor and celebrate both the history and the future of the VRC. You can also sign up for our Fifty for 50 Service Challenge that goes along with our anniversary where you sign up for 50 hours of service work and volunteering in your community. CU-Boulder alum, Marine Corp major keynotes Veterans Day ceremony

With over 400 combat flight hours, 141 combat sorties, and nine medals and decorations of honor for his service, this year’s Veterans Day Ceremony keynote speaker served our country for over 23 years in the Marine Corps. Join the campus and community to honor those who have served on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. for the Veterans Day Ceremony in the Glenn Miller Ballroom. We will be adding the names of two Coloradoans who died while serving this past year as well. The ceremony is followed by a light reception.

Alternative Breaks Open House

The Volunteer Resource Center will be holding an AB Open House on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 5 to 6 p.m. at Kitt Central Multipurpose Rooms A/B. At the event students will be able to meet AB Trip Leaders, ask questions about the Alternative Breaks program, and learn about the variety of spring 2016 trips.
