With fall break approaching, the CU Boulder campus is preparing to follow different building access protocols.

Monday through Wednesday (Nov. 25–27)

• CU Boulder affiliates can access most academic buildings on campus between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. with your Buff OneCard.

Fall break (Nov. 28–29)

• As is true of all university holidays and Administrative Leave days, building access will only be available for affiliates with Buff OneCards who have been provisioned for 24/7 access to their respective facilities.

All residence halls will remain open during fall break. 

University Libraries, the Recreation Center, the UMC and the Health and Wellness Department publish their respective hours on their websites.

The Neuromechanics Lab at CU Boulder is looking for volunteers to take part in a research study that investigates the role of how individuals navigate a dynamic and ambiguous decision-making task. 

To take part you must:

• Be English-speaking
• Be between 18–36 years old
• Have normal vision or wear glasses/contacts that make your vision normal
• Have no neurological or other problems that affect your movement control
• Complete our pre-screen survey

This study is expected to last at most two hours. Participants will receive a digital Amazon gift card as compensation, worth between $15 and $25. All procedures take place in our campus laboratory (Engineering Center, ECSL 1B21).

The Faculty Athletic Representative (FAR) supports the health, wellness and academic success of CU Boulder’s NCAA Division I athletes. Mandated by the NCAA, the FAR also advises on institutional compliance and academic integrity. Applications open through Dec. 2, 2024.

Public and CU-affiliated patrons can access e-resources from the UCB Guest Wi-Fi network in Norlin Library on personal laptops and other devices—no public computer terminal required.

The Neurophysiology of Movement Laboratory (located on CU Boulder's Main Campus) is evaluating the influence of multiple sclerosis on the ability to control the force produced by lower-leg muscles. The study consists of one 2-hour visit to assess motor function with self-reported and clinical assessments and lower-leg muscle activity during moderate contractions.

The inclusion criteria for healthy individuals include:

• Men and women 18–65 years old
• No visual impairment (corrected vision is okay)
• No current or recent (<2 months) lower-limb injury
• No major health problems

The inclusion criteria for people with multiple sclerosis include:

• Clinical diagnosis of multiple sclerosis
• Able to walk with or without assistive device
• Men and women 18–65 years old
• No visual impairment (corrected vision is okay)
• No current or recent (<2 months) lower-limb injury
• No other major health problems than multiple sclerosis

The University of Colorado Honors Journal invites all undergraduate students who have created original writing, art or film to submit their work for publication in the 2025 issue. All undergraduate students at CU Boulder are eligible to submit their work. The deadline for submission for the 2025 issue is Dec. 31, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.

The Honors Journal is an interdisciplinary, student-run journal published annually by the Arts & Sciences Honors Program. The journal presents a collection of works that reflect the utmost talent, diligence and creativity among undergraduate students at CU Boulder.

Each year, the Honors Journal combines undergraduate work from all academic fields including but not limited to: art, creative nonfiction, fiction, gender and ethnic studies, humanities, natural sciences, open media (e.g., film, digital art, recorded performance), poetry and social sciences.

The Raimy Clinic is a therapy service that provides low-cost, evidence-based therapy on CU Boulder's campus staffed by clinical psychology doctoral students under the supervision of licensed psychologists. We offer in-person and telehealth options.

To improve CU Boulder's email reputation and reduce spoofing, OIT will soon begin gradual enforcement of a campus DMARC policy that directs email servers to quarantine unauthenticated messages claiming to be from CU Boulder.
