Seeking paid undergrad interns for partnership with Children's Museum of Denver

Deadline: Sept. 9. Responsibilities: go once a week to Children's Museum of Denver for 4 hrs to facilitate an exhibit about child development research, interact with children and parents, work w/ research assistant team, mutual professional development opportunities with museum staff. Preferred qualifications: experience working w/ children and families, coursework in child development, available Fridays fall 2016, interest in continuing spring 2017. Fun research projects for kids

The Cognitive Development Center in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is looking for children ages 3 to 7 years old who are interested in playing games that will help teach us about self control and cognitive strategies. A visit, scheduled at your convenience, lasts about 60 minutes. Babysitting is available for siblings. Parents are compensated for travel and kids receive a fun prize. Infants and toddlers wanted for word learning study

Speech-language pathologists and researchers in the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences are seeking young children, ages 9 months to 24 months old, to be involved in a study of early word learning. Toddlers may be developing normally or experiencing difficulty with communication, such as late development of first words or using few words for their age. Moth Mania - For families with children 8-15 years old

Sept. 12, 7:30 to 9 p.m. Join our museum entomologists to explore the after-dark world of moths where they catch insects and pollinate flowers. We’ll have live moth caterpillars to explore up close, clay to create your own caterpillar to study predation at home, and will serve dessert. Once it's dark, we'll go outside the museum to hunt for moths with black light and mercury vapor lamps. This natural science program is targeted for families with children of approximately middle school age. Bring your flashlight and a sense of wonder.
