Sept. 12, 7:30 to 9 p.m.
Join our museum entomologists to explore the after-dark world of moths where they catch insects and pollinate flowers. We’ll have live moth caterpillars to explore up close, clay to create your own caterpillar to study predation at home, and will serve dessert. Once it's dark, we'll go outside the museum to hunt for moths with black light and mercury vapor lamps. This natural science program is targeted for families with children of approximately middle school age.
Bring your flashlight and a sense of wonder.
