Fulbright Grant Information Meeting

CU-Boulder is a top producing campus of U.S. Student Fulbright grants. Come to an information meeting to learn how you can apply for a Fulbright grant to do overseas study/research or to be an English teaching assistant overseas. These grants are for U.S. citizens who will have at least a bachelor's degree at the time the grant starts and have not completed a Ph.D. at the time of application. Where: C4C S350, Thurs. Fulbright workshops for faculty - March 11

Want to teach or do research overseas with funding from a Fulbright grant? Join us for a presentation by Dr. Andy Riess from the Fulbright Scholar Program (for U.S. citizens with Ph.D.s). CUPA Scholarships for Continuing and Transfer Students

Deadline for application is Thursday, March 14th. The CU Parents Association (CUPA) is offering $2,500 scholarships to continuing and transfer students who will be sophomores, juniors, or seniors for the 2013-14 academic year. Must have a minimum 3.5 GPA. Awards are based on academic excellence, extracurricular activities, and a personal essay. More information and application can be found at Parent Relations website.

LabView Campus Tour Visit

Date: March 13, 2013 Time: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Location: North side of Engineering Complex, parking lot 437 on Colorado Avenue The LabVIEW Campus Tour is visiting The University of Colorado on March 13. Bring a colleague or a classmate, and see live demonstrations of the latest NI technologies for teaching, research and student design at your campus. Through live product demonstrations, learn how you can take advantage of NI's industry-standard tools to accelerate your research.

Annual Buffalo Can Challenge April 17

Buffalo Can Challenge is CU's annual competition organized to raise awareness about hunger in Boulder County and collect food and resources for Community Food Share, Boulder County's Food Bank. Registered groups design and build sculptures out of nonperishable food items to raise awareness about hunger. The Buffalo Can Challenge will take place on April 17 in the fountain area outside of the UMC. Stop by and learn about food and environmental justice. 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Judging at 2 p.m.

Research Participants needed at University of Colorado ages 12-21

Research Participants ages 12-21 needed ADAPT is a place for young people ages 12-21 who are worried about experiencing unusual thoughts, suspiciousness or paranoia, or seeing or hearing things that are not there. Earn $25 for participating in a short screening interview. You may be invited to participate in a 2-year longitudinal study ($25 per hour for 7-9 hours each year). Digital Media Bootcamp 2013 / Registration opens March 12

Maymester 2013 / May 13 – May 31, 2013 Monday–Friday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Roser-ATLAS Building / Room 113 DMBC (Digital Media Bootcamp) is a 3-week intensive certificate program designed to equip students, recent graduates and industry professionals with the basic digital media skills necessary to be competitive in today's workplace. dmbc.colorado.edu DMBC is a program of the ATLAS Institute at CU Boulder.

180*11: Student Group Needs Organizers

180*11 focuses on resistance, radical politics and justice.

As a 180*11 organizer, you'll have access to a significant budget from CU student government, be outfitted with art supplies, banners, computers, an awesome staff advisor, and an email list with nearly 300 interested folks who want to hear about what you're up to. You don't need to start from scratch with your idea, use 180*11 as a tool to realize your idea on campus!

We are looking for 4-10 organizers to step up and make something of this student group.

Fashion For A Cause Fashion Show March 14

CU's Fashionistas, Inc. student organization has partnered with Fashion for a Cause to bring you the Fashion For A Cause Fashion Show & Silent Auction on Thursday, March 14 from 7-9 p.m. in UMC 235. The event will include a live musical performance, a fashion show featuring outfits donated by a variety of local retailers, a silent auction, and a dessert bar. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door at a cost of just $8 for students and $15 for community members. All proceeds go directly to There With Care.
