$1,000 James E. Schafer Leadership Scholarship

The UMC Board knows that CU's student leaders make a difference. We encourage you to apply for the James E. Schafer Scholarship for student leaders. Each award is for $1,000. If you have been involved in a CUSG-recognized student group or organization for at least one full semester and if you meet the other criteria, we encourage you to apply. The deadline is Friday, March 20, at 4:30 p.m. and applications are available in UMC 305 and on the UMC website.

Study ecology and evolution in the Galápagos Islands: Winter 2015-16 study abroad program

Study ecology and conservation in one of the most biologically diverse locations on the planet: the Galápagos Islands. Obtain hands-on experience in principles and practice of ecology and conservation biology. Also included is a visit to the Bellavista Cloud Forest, a rare and endangered ecosystem in Ecuador. A 'Bloggy World:' Race, religion and digital counterpublics

March is Herstory month, so check out the events at the Women's Resource Center, while we celebrate the contributions that women have made in the past and the present. For the Health of It: Voices from reproductive justice - A panel discussion

Monday, March 16, 5-6:15 p.m. in Aspen Rooms, UMC 285. This panel will explore some of the complex issues pertaining to reproductive justice, how these issues are experienced by different communities, and the work being done to strive for reproductive rights, health and freedom. Keynote address will be given by Cristina Aguilar, executive director of COLOR, with panelists representing the GLBTQRC, Boulder Valley Women's Health Center and Law Students for Reproductive Justice. A Q&A session will follow with light refreshments served.

Law & Film - 'The 50 Year Copyright Struggle for James Bond'

Please join us for this exclusive CU event featuring William Kane, a partner with the U.S. law firm Baker Hostetler LLP, who negotiated the settlement of the 50 year James Bond copyright dispute. This terrific multimedia discussion should be of interest to students of law, film and the general public who appreciate a good Bond film!
