Enhancing function in later life: Exercise and Functional Network Connectivity

Age 65 and older, Boulder or Denver area residents and CU students, faculty, staff and alumni needed for research. Planning to live in the Boulder/Denver Area for next 6 months. Compensation: $300 for six meetings plus a 16-week supervised exercise program. ELIGIBILITY: 65 years old or older, not regular exercisers. No non-removable metal in body. 2015 Chancellor's Award proposals through the CSL: Due April 15

The Center for STEM Learning (CSL) invites you to submit your proposal by April 15. Up to $10,000 faculty/staff awards and graduate student awards (part-time, 25 percent during the academic year, 50 percent during the summer) of up to one year are available. Applicants may propose support for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education projects in the early stages, for the coordination of existing projects, or to seed effort that can continue beyond the funding period. Free family therapy

The Colorado Family Project, a group of clinicians and researchers at CU, is conducting a study of family-based therapy for youth with mood swings and a family history of bipolar disorder. Treatment focuses on helping youth and their families understand and cope with mood swings, develop plans for preventing moods from getting worse, communicate more effectively and solve family problems. Treatment is free of charge and families are compensated for participation in regular research interviews.

Wednesday., March 18, 5:30-7 p.m. in ATLAS 105. Edge Animate is a new addition to the Adobe Creative Suite which enables users to create rich-media animation and interactive experiences for the Web. Seasoned animators will find Adobe Edge Animate to be very similar to other Adobe applications while newcomers will quickly become comfortable with its easily-to-learn interface and production flow.
