Global seminar: Study international finance in London

Study international finance in London this summer. This seminar includes lectures from prominent financial professionals and site visits to companies such as Lloyd’s of London, Bloomber and Paris. Study film and art in Rome next summer: Interest meeting Sept. 28

Students can spend three weeks in May and June studying film, art and culture in Rome. All majors can apply and receive three UD credits. Course taught in English. Fulfills UD Lit. and Arts core. Program led by Film Studies Professor Suranjan Ganguly. Film screenings and lectures are combined with excursions in and around Rome. Book release and signing of 'The Morenci Marines: A Tale of Small Town America and the Vietnam War'

Center of the American West, in conjunction with the American Music Research Center, the Conference on World Affairs, CU Boulder Student Veterans Association, CU Veteran Services, the CU History Department, and the International Affairs Program is proud to host Kyle Longley for a book release and signing of The Morenci Marines: A Tale of Small Town America and the Vietnam War on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 6:30 p.m. in the Benson Earth Science Building, room 180. Free and open to the public.

'Comics & Culture: Islam in Graphic Novels Sept. 21'

Presented by Project Nur and Cultural Events Board: The author of Ms Marvel, G. Willow Wilson will be giving a keynote address about her experience creating the first female Muslim character in the mainstream graphic novels, as well as share her own experiences as an American Muslim within the context of Marvel and comics. A short Q&A will follow her talk, and a book signing (the book store will be selling Ms Marvel comics as well). Glenn Miller Ballroom. Sept. 21. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the event is free for students and the public.

And the election is occurring in a time of increased polarization in the country, increasingly pointed coverage by the media and a steady stream of negative advertising. What does all of this mean for the candidate who wins in November? And what are the implications for U.S. politics moving forward?
