Martial Arts at the Rec Center

The Rec Center offers a variety of Martial Arts classes for Rec Center Members. You can learn a martial art for fitness, self-defense, or self-confidence. All Martial Arts classes are appropriate for all levels (beginner to advanced). Classes included: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Shotokan Karate, Aikido, Enshin Karate and Kendo. FREE Fitness Classes at the Rec on January 21st

The Rec Center is offering a modified fitness schedule on Monday, January 21st. All classes are FREE to Rec Center members and day pass guests. 9:30-10:30am Vinyasa Flow Yoga 5:15-6:15pm Restorative Yoga 6:30-7:30pm Power Barre 7:45-8:45pm Zumba All classes are held in the Fitness Studio.

Learn how to dance Salsa

The Boulder Chapter of Ritmos Latinos, a student organization, will begin classes in basic salsa next Tuesday, Sept. 9, and every Tuesday night throughout the fall 2014 semester. Come join the fun at the Dennis Small Cultural Center (UMC, 4th floor, Room 457) from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. and learn how to dance both partner and rueda-de-casino style salsa. There's no charge and no partner is necessary. Open to all members of the CU Boulder student, staff, and faculty community. Feel free to bring a friend.

Business of Sports - Apply Now!!!

The Business of Sports Certificate program is a 6-credit offering for those who want a career in sports. The certificate is open to students of all majors with 60 or more credits. A Bollywood Othello: Screening Vishal Bhardwaj's "Omkara"

As part of the “Spring Into Shakespeare!” series, the Center for Asian Studies will screen the film, "Omkara," an Indian film adaption of Shakespeare's "Othello," on Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. in HUMN, 1B50. The screening will feature a discussion led by Laura Brueck, assistant professor of Hindi Literature and South Asian Studies, in the department of Asian Languages and Civilizations.

Mission: To raise awareness of genocides past and present, and use our resources to educate communities in order to discourage mass atrocities and put an end to human rights abuses.
