The CU-Boulder Red Cross/Red Crescent Climate Centre Internship Program seeks applications for summer internships in southern and east Africa. The program aims to improve environmental communication and adaptation decision-making in response to climate variability and change within the humanitarian sector. Learn more about indigenous peoples and conservation in one of the most beautiful and biologically-important regions of the world, study political ecology, culture and development while living amongst indigenous groups such as the Maasai and Hadzabe people. Participants needed for research at University of Colorado ages 12-21

Earn $25 for participation in a 2-hour study The Adolescent Development and Preventive Treatment (ADAPT) research program is looking for individuals to participate in a study of mental health and adolescent development. Potential invitation to attend 3 additional annual time points at 6-7 hours each ($25 per hour for these). If interested, please call the ADAPT at (303) 492-4616. Participants needed for research at University of Colorado ages 12-21

Research Participants ages 12-21 needed ADAPT is a place for young people ages 12-21 who are worried about experiencing unusual thoughts, suspiciousness or paranoia, or seeing or hearing things that are not there. Earn $25 for participating in a short screening interview. You may be invited to participate in a 2-year longitudinal study ($25 per hour for 7-9 hours each year). Learn how to dance salsa

This is a reminder that the Boulder chapter of Ritmos Latinos, conducts classes in basic salsa every Tuesday night from 7:30-9:30 p.m. at the Dennis Small Cultural Center (UMC, 4th floor, Room 457). No partner is necessary but feel free to bring a friend. Classes are open to all members of the CU-Boulder student, staff and faculty community.

CU Dialogues for international students

Adjustment: Alienation or Acceptance? Join us for a facilitated dialogue. Students will discuss their initial reactions to similarities and differences between their native culture and their “new” culture at CU. Students will discuss adjusting to life at CU, including cultural and linguistic challenges faced by international students. Sponsored by CU Dialogues and International Student and Scholar Services.
