Free lunch & lecture April 19 at noon, The Role of Politics in Leaving Congregations

Free lecture and lunch: Tuesday, April 19 from 12noon-1:30pm in the UMC, room 245,"The Role of Politics in Leaving Congregations – A Reconsideration" by Anand Sokhey, Assoc. Professor in the Department of Political Science. Several high profile studies have identified politics as an important force driving people away from religion. The argument is that the dogmatic politics of the Christian Right have alienated liberals and moderates, effectively threatening the future of organized religion in America. Sutherland Center provides services for those with a bipolar disorder

The Sutherland Center (located in Muenzinger) provides expert evaluations and care to individuals and families with bipolar disorder who are unable to pay for services in the community. We offer a comprehensive treatment program, including individual and family focused therapy, skills-oriented therapy groups and/or an educational seminar series. Norlin Library building to be closed Dec. 20-Jan. 4

There will be no access to the Norlin Library building and limited access to collections due to critical electrical repairs taking place Dec. 20–Jan. 4. The Library Administration is closing Norlin during this period because no one is allowed to occupy any portion of the building for safety reasons. Museum workshop: Natural History ornaments on Dec. 6

Join us at the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History on Saturday, Dec. 6, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. to make ornaments inspired by nature. Snowflakes, Navajo weaving and even bark beetles will serve as inspiration. Drop in to make one, or stay awhile and make all six. We'll have cookies and hot chocolate to chase the winter chill away.
