In the Ahimsa Flow & Pranayama Yoga Class, we will move through a gentle yin yoga flow aimed our strengthening our embodied self-compassion, while melting away thoughts and feelings of hatred that we so often direct inwards. And we will incorporate pranayama, or breathing practices, throughout the class that will support self-love and cleanse away thoughts and feelings of self-harm.
This class is free to all Rec Center members.

Proposal Writing 101 | July 27, noon–1 p.m., Zoom
The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA) invites postdocs and graduate students to learn about the process for successful proposal development. The workshop will focus on best practices for writing a quality grant proposal for potential funders. Jim Mazzouccolo, proposal editor and writing coach for the Research & Innovation Office (RIO), will discuss key steps, including reviewing funder guidelines and requirements, project planning, writing, editing and proofreading. Beginning July 18, the Colorado Shakespeare Festival will host a three-week camp for young actors, in which students will rehearse, stage and perform a shortened Shakespeare play on the beautiful Mary Rippon Outdoor Stage. Limited space available for these small-class sessions. No prior experience with Shakespeare is necessary.

Since 1987, the University Perspective program has developed and deepened the leadership capacity of staff on the CU Boulder campus. Participants of the nine-month program gain firsthand knowledge of the university through meetings with senior leaders on the Boulder campus and each of the other three campuses in the CU system and the CU system office.
Applications are now open and due by Friday, July 15.
