Join the UROP Review Board by March 6

The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) relies on a large team of volunteers to help ensure all applications receive fair and informed evaluations—and that projects conform to the highest ethical standards. Sign up by March 6 to be included in this application cycle’s review process, and please encourage colleagues to join!

Eligibility: Tenured/tenure-track, research faculty, contract instructors, postdocs and graduate students at CU Boulder are eligible to evaluate UROP proposals. Due to the distribution of applications, we have the most need in 1) life/biosciences and 2) math, physical sciences and engineering.

Important: Check your fridge

As you return for the spring semester, please take a moment to clean out your refrigerator and discard anything that was left in it over winter break. On Dec. 17-19, our area experienced high winds and power outages, which means that some residences lost power for extended periods, which may cause food to spoil – even if it looks or smells ok. Consuming food that has been unrefrigerated can lead to serious health risks, including foodborne illness.

When you return, please:

  • Do not eat any food left in your fridge over the break.
  • If you have medications that require refrigeration, please check with your medical provider.
  • Discard all items that require refrigeration.
  • Wipe down your fridge with a disinfectant to ensure it is clean before adding new items.

We understand the inconvenience but want to ensure your safety. Thank you for taking these precautions.
