University of Colorado employees who are paid monthly will receive their June paycheck on Monday, July 3. There is no change for employees who are paid biweekly.
The shift from CU's normal monthly payroll, completed at month's end, stems from a 12-year-old state directive, which delays all monthly paid state employees' June pay to the first business day in July. Monthly employees will be paid on the last day of July for the July pay cycle, as usual.
Why does June's pay day fall on the first business day in July?
In 2003, Governor Bill Owens signed into law Colorado Senate Bill 03-197, which eliminated one of the state's 12 monthly pay cycles and delayed all monthly paid state employees' June pay to the first business day in July.
Are you a faculty or staff member who's received a Fulbright award to begin in 2017–18? Please let us know about it for our annual CU Boulder Today announcement. Historically, CU Boulder faculty and staff members each year have received a variety of awards, including from Fulbright's scholar and seminar programs, and we like to share the good news with campus.
Please contact Deputy Editor Elizabeth Lock via the submit-a-story form.
Tomorrow, June 23, is the deadline for submitting photographs to be included in the Alumni Association's wall calendar for 2018. Applicants are able to submit photos in the following four categories: CU Spirit, Campus Architecture, Beautiful Boulder and Uniquely CU. Winners in each category will receive multiple prizes.
The grand prize winner will receive an additional prize, and his or her photo will be featured on the cover of the 2018 calendar. Visit the Alumni Association online for complete rules and to enter the contest.
The Folsom Parking Garage (Lot 391) next to the football stadium will be closed for power washing, striping and speed bump installation from Monday, June 26, through Thursday, June 29.
All vehicles must be removed from the garage during this time. Lot 391 permit holders, during this time, may park in Lot 169, the Regent Parking Garage or Lot 436 just north of the regent garage by displaying their Lot 391 permits. Campus visitors or others paying to park can find parking in Lot 440 south of the Regent garage, in the Euclid Parking Garage or Lot 306 south of the Regent Administrative Center.
The Folsom Parking Garage will re-open to permit holders on Friday, June 30. However, from Thursday, June 29, to Saturday, July 1, crews will be painting interior walls. Painting areas will be closed off as painting progresses throughout the garage.
