Carpool/express lane requirements changing Jan. 1

Beginning Sunday, Jan. 1, all Colorado High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) express lanes change to HOV 3, requiring at least three people in each vehicle. Additionally, carpools using HOV lanes must have an ExpressToll account with a transponder to enjoy free access. Solo drivers and those with one passenger must pay to use the express lane; motorcycles and buses are allowed free use. Visit the Parking and Transportation website for more details.

Live auction of surplus property and equipment

Property Services will hold a public auction of surplus property and equipment on Saturday, Dec. 10. Items will be available for preview beginning at 8 a.m. and the auction will begin at 9 a.m. Auctions are held on the east side of University of Colorado Boulder, Distribution Center, at 3300 Walnut Street.

AIA Lecture Series: The latest dirt from Petsas House, Mycenae

Join us the CU Natural History Museum on March 1 at 7 p.m. for a free lecture. This elaborately illustrated lecture by Kim Shelton will present the results of eleven seasons of excavation by the Archaeological Society of Athens at Petsas House in the settlement of the famous Bronze Age palatial center at Mycenae. The lecture is presented in part by the Joukowski Institute for Archaeology at Brown University.

Socio-cultural transformation of Etruria from 900 to 580 BC

Join us for a free lecture on Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. at the CU Museum of Natural History. Presented by Paul Miller, the lecture will highlight archaeological evidence of societal changes in Etruria from 900 to 580 BC and how and why Etruscan life changed significantly over the course of a few generations.
