Center of the American West is now accepting applications for our fall 2018 3-credit hour internships at The Nature Conservancy and History Colorado Center. Current openings include working as a museum research assistant; a museum school groups tour guide; and assisting with conservation science projects. Our 3-credit hour internships course (CAMW3939) requires an average of 10 hours per week on-the-job, along with some academic activities and a few meetings with our internships advisor/instructor. The Emotive Computing Lab at CU Boulder is seeking participants for a study of collaboration. 

You are eligible to participant in this research study if you:

• Are a CU Boulder student at least 18 years of age
• Speak English
• Do not have significant and uncorrected vision impairments
• Have not previously played Physics Playground or a similar game (e.g., Crayon Physics Deluxe, Magic Pen) for more than an hour

The study contains two parts: 

1. An at home portion where you fill out some surveys and practice the game (lasting one hour) for a $15 Amazon gift card
2. A visit to the lab, which will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time (lasting two hours) for a $35 Amazon gift card

Participate in research study on undergraduate student engagement in climate science—all majors welcome! Earn a $20 Amazon gift card for 30-minute study.

Participation in this research includes watching a short video about climate change, discussing the video in a small group setting and doing a worksheet based on the video. During the study you will wear a hand sensor, similar to a FitBit, which measures changes in certain biometrics such as skin conductance and pulse. 

Students from all academic backgrounds are invited to participate. The study will take place in room M203 in the CIRES Building on Main Campus. Participation is voluntary and all data will be de-identified—in other words, it will not be associated with your name. We are recruiting individuals ages 18-45 who have been actively smoking tobacco (cigarettes) for at least one year and do not use other recreational drugs, including cannabis.
