Sorority recruitment to begin Aug. 26: What faculty should know

On Thursday, Aug. 26, the CU Panhellenic Association will kick off its annual sorority recruitment with a virtual orientation from 6 to 9 p.m. Recruitment events will continue to take place Aug. 28 to 29 and Sept. 4 to 5.

Students participating in the recruitment are reminded not to miss class or an academic commitment because of a sorority recruitment event.

“The Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life and CU Panhellenic believe in the importance of academics and support the academic mission of the university. We also believe that building strong connections outside of the classroom is essential. However, those connections should not compromise academic achievement.”

Taking classes this fall? Learn about changes to the tuition assistance benefit at CU Boulder

Two recent changes make it easier than ever to take advantage of the tuition assistance benefit on the CU Boulder campus:

  • Boulder campus employees who are enrolled full time can now use the tuition assistance benefit waiver (up to 9 credit hours per year). Previously, employees enrolled full time were restricted from using the benefit toward the cost of their education. All employees must still meet standard eligibility requirements, and the benefit itself remains the same.
  • Starting this semester, employees using the benefit for themselves can register for most classes up to seven (7) days prior to the start of class across CU’s four campuses.

The application period is now open for fall 2021. Faculty and staff can apply for the benefit for themselves or their dependents. Read about the tuition assistance benefit for fall 2021.
