How do you feel about your graduate student experience? That’s the question the Student Experience in the Research University (SERU) Graduate Student Survey, known as the gradSERU Survey, is seeking to understand.
The survey, which takes approximately 20 minutes to complete, is designed to examine students' experiences across the entire spectrum of their graduate career: academic, research, teaching, professional development, well-being and sense of community. A survey URL was distributed over email to almost all non-professional graduate students—search your email for "gradSERU" for your unique URL.
All respondents will be entered to win one of 20 $100 Amazon gift cards. The survey has been extended to May 2.
Take the Faculty & Staff Engagement Survey—it's not too late! The survey is open until Wednesday, April 30.
The survey assesses our workforce's status and key engagement elements such as work enthusiasm, career satisfaction, institutional pride, intent to stay, and connection to the mission. This survey is vital in informing our ongoing efforts to improve the campus experience for all faculty and staff.
Personally identifiable information is released to no one outside of Arthur J. Gallagher. Survey results will not identify individuals; only aggregate findings will be used for organizational improvements.
As Finals Week approaches, here are key updates and resources to help you get around:
During Finals Week, the Buff Bus will be running an expanded schedule to accommodate students' needs. The routes and schedules are as follows:
Late-night service on Route W is offered Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. Late-night service from Will Vill to Main Campus is provided by Via Mobility Services (small black buses that say VIA on them, not larger Buff Buses).
University Libraries will have extended hours to support your study needs.
Study spaces: Make use of the various study spaces available on campus, including the libraries, study lounges and reserved quiet areas.
Health and wellness: Remember to take breaks, stay hydrated and get enough sleep. The Rec Center is offering stress-relief activities and wellness resources all week long.
Final exam schedule: Check your final exam dates, times and locations on Buff Portal to avoid any last-minute surprises.
Building access: Remember your Buff OneCard during Finals Week. Check building access hours.
We hope these resources help you navigate Finals Week smoothly. Good luck with your exams!
Earlier this month, the National Artificial Intelligence Research Resource (NAIRR) Pilot, including members of CU Research Computing and Arizona State University, hosted the AI Unlocked workshop in Denver, focused on AI tools and applications. We're now planning a smaller, campus-based version for CU and RMACC affiliates.
To help shape this next event and sign up for updates, please take a moment to complete this brief survey. Your input will help us gauge interest and identify key topics. Feel free to share it with others. The survey closes on May 5.
To increase campus security and safety measures, the CU Boulder campus will be locking the exterior doors to academic buildings on specific dates. Anyone with a Buff OneCard will be able to swipe into academic buildings during regular building hours, and no additional access needs to be granted.
