Join Strategic Relations for the latest no-cost print production training course: Paper Stock and Recycling. Walk-ins are welcome, but each class is limited to 15 people. Classes are held the first Wednesday of the month.

Not all papers are created equal. Asking for a brochure to be “printed on white paper” could result in a wide variety of outcomes. Learn about some little-known truths involving recycled content, carbon footprints and the sustainability certifications earned by paper mills and printing presses. And each decision can affect your cost.

Governor's office accepting applications for fall Executive Internship Program

The Governor's Office of John W. Hickenlooper is now accepting applications for its fall Executive Internship Program. The deadline for priority consideration is 5 p.m. Aug. 4.

Fall intern orientations will be held Tuesday, Sept. 5, and Wednesday, Sept. 6. If selected, your internship will begin after your orientation.

Are you a gamer? Want bragging rights? Here’s your chance! Join one of the weekly video game tournaments at The Connection!

Sign-up starts at 6 p.m. at The Connection front desk. Play begins at 7 p.m with a $5 entry fee.

Games are on PlayStation 4, Xbox One or Nintendo Wii gaming systems. Tournament formats are double elimination and/or round robin. Prizes for top finishers!

Become familiar with the wide variety of printing presses available and the pros and cons of each in order to choose the appropriate press for your budget and deadline. One hour of instruction followed by an optional hour of one-on-one help with your project.

Unlock the magic of Shakespeare's language with the Colorado Shakespeare Festival’s wildly popular summer acting program Camp Shakespeare. Campers ages 10 to 18 rehearse an abbreviated Shakespeare play, study with Colorado Shakespeare Festival professionals and perform in the historic outdoor Mary Rippon Outdoor Theatre.

Most sessions are full, but limited openings remain for ages 10 to 12 staging The Taming of the Shrew. CU faculty and staff use coupon code BUFFBARD2017 for $50 off the registration fee!

Fun research projects for kids

Junior Scientists
The Cognitive Development Center in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is looking for children age birth to 12 years old who are interested in playing games that will help teach us about self-control, language and cognitive strategies. A visit, scheduled at your convenience, lasts about 60 minutes. Babysitting is available for siblings. Parents are compensated for travel, and kids receive a fun prize.
