Get CPR/AED certified with CUEMS

The CUEMS (CU Emergency Medical Services) student organization offers Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for CU students, faculty, staff, alumni and unaffiliated community members. This is a three- to four-hour course where BLS is taught and demonstrated. Participants will learn how to recognize life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR and use an AED. This course provides a two-year certification through the American Heart Association. Classes are held on campus on weekends. Classes are $50, as compared to the market average of $80-$120 for AHA BLS certification courses. The full list of class dates can be seen at the sign-up link and on the poster.

This class is perfect if you are considering getting certified as an EMT or are pre-health––AHA BLS certification is required for most health care jobs and EMT certification. Enhance your resume, strengthen applications to medical, PA and nursing schools, and be ready to save a life in a cardiac or respiratory emergency.
