Art and literature are often viewed as having little to do with money and finance. Yet, writers and artists have long been fascinated by these subjects and especially by stock market bubbles and crashes. This course explores how European and American playwrights, artists, novelists and filmmakers have dealt with financial bubbles—and finance more generally—from the 1710s to the present.
