The art of communicating science to decision-makers

Join us Nov. 19 for a talk by Jan Marco Müller of the European Commission's Joint Research Centre. Few scientists are trained in dealing with the media as science communication is not a compulsory subject in university education. Grabbing the attention of decision makers is more difficult as science competes with interest groups and scientific evidence is not always easy to communicate. The lecture will provide practical guidance on how to communicate science to decision makers. Reception 11:30 a.m. CIRES 340. Lecture 12 p.m., CIRES Auditorium.
