LASP public lecture—Kepler to K2: Repurposing a great observatory

In this Nov. 12 talk, Ball Aerospace Kepler Program Manager, John Troeltzsch, will discuss highlights of the NASA Kepler space telescope's prime mission (one that continues to revolutionize our understanding of the prevalence and characteristics of exoplanets in our galaxy through data analysis), how the repurposed K2 mission came about, and what scientists hope K2 will accomplish.
