Carolyn Becker, professor of psychology at Trinity University, will lead a workshop for clinicians and educators that will introduce participants to a cognitive dissonance-based approach to preventing eating disorders. “The Body Project” is a body image improvement program that has been found to reduce onset of eating disorders in high school- and college-age females. The workshop (April 18 in the UMC) will deliver core components of “The Body Project.” The registration fee is $95, with a discount for students and BVSD counselors and staff.
