This interactive session will cover university and state-wide policies pertaining to the LGBTQ community, including protections for gender identity and expression. We will share and invite strategies for making the classroom more LGBTQ-inclusive, from attendance-taking to designing assignments and handling class discussions that avoid tokenizing and stereotyping.
