Join the CU Women’s Resource Center and Theta Nu Xi Multicultural Sorority Inc. for the second portion of the screening of "Half The Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide." The film covers 10 countries: Cambodia, Kenya, India, Sierra Leone, Somaliland, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Liberia and the U.S. to meet women who are trying to overcome and find sustainable solutions to poverty, gender-based violence, sex trafficking and education barriers. The screening will be held on Oct. 23 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in ATLAS 100.
