A lecture by Professor Sergei Davydov, Professor Emeritus, Middlebury College. The early writings of the great Russian-American writer Vladimir Nabokov were rife with themes and images from his Russian Orthodox religion. However, from 1925 on, Nabokov began to re-code his Orthodox Christianity into a peculiar "poetic religion" of his own.
