Prayer flags, dreamcatchers, and dreadlocks are common sights in Boulder. But what do trends of culturally significant objects and styles mean to students who identify as part of that culture? Join the CU Women’s Resource Center, SORCE Student-Staff- Quen Ameyaw, Oyate member- Saydie Sago, and Ethnic Studies Professor- Daryl Maeda in a casual discussion regarding the history of cultural appropriation, examples of appropriation today, and how it affects communities on campus. The talk will be held Monday, Sept. 30,in UMC 416 from 11:30-12:30.
