Dr. Greg Kopp will discuss what we know about the Sun and its influences on Earth’s climate, and describe current measurements of the solar climate data record on Wednesday, May 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the main LASP building (LSTB) at 1234 Innovation Drive on the East Campus Research Park. The Sun provides nearly all energy for Earth’s climate system and even small changes in its energy output can have large effects on climate, since the Sun's energy is so much greater than all other climate energy sources combined.
