In this course we examine Israeli literature from its beginnings to the present day. We read texts written by Israeli Jewish and Arab writers and explore how ideas of exile, nation and home play into the Israeli experience. Recommended prereqs.: Any 1000 and 2000 level literature courses, Hebrew/Jewish Studies courses, or with Instructor’s permission. Taught in English.
