Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a nationally recognized training course that helps someone without clinical training to assist others experience mental health or substance use challenges. Course participants are introduced to risk factors and warning signs, engage in experiential activities, discuss relevant professional and self-help resources, and learn a five-step strategy to provide support.
Health Promotion within Health and Wellness Services is offering this course on Thursday, Oct. 19. The training will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
