Moving out? Make sure to properly dispose of items or face a fine

If you are moving out of your off-campus residence for the summer, make sure to properly dispose of any items you are getting rid of. Large items will not be picked up with regular trash, and abandoning those items can result in up to $1,000 in fines.

Off-Campus Housing & Neighborhood Relations has resources on how to recycle or donate items such as electronics, mattresses, clothing, small appliances and other hard to dispose of materials.

Apply for a Latinx in Colorado internship opportunity

The Latin American Studies Center is excited to announce our Latinx in Colorado paid internships program for students. Students are invited to apply for these internships for summer and/or fall 2023 to work on Latinx academic and community projects.

Deadline to apply is May 1. Find detailed information on the internships as well as application instructions.

Concerned about a friend? Here's how you can help

Anyone can refer a student to Student Support & Case Management (SSCM). SSCM can connect students with resources and help them work through challenging life situations that may be impacting their education, such as:

  • Mental health concerns
  • Family emergencies
  • Hospitalization
  • Food or housing insecurity

Visit the SSCM website to learn how to recognize and respond to a friend in distress and how to refer them to a case manager.

Volunteer at the CUSG Sexual Assault Awareness 5K

CUSG 5K

CU Student Government is looking for folks interested in volunteering at our second annual CUSG Sexual Assault Awareness 5K on Saturday, April 29.

Sexual assault is a prominent issue on many college campuses, and CUSG is hosting multiple events in April to raise awareness for sexual assault. To wrap up Sexual Assault Awareness Month, CUSG is hosting a 5k walk/run to raise money for student survivors.

Sign up to volunteer. Once registered, we will reach out to determine volunteer assignments. 

Small business innovation, technology the focus of lunchtime conference April 24–28

Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grants are key ways that university spinouts and innovation firms fund the early development and commercialization of their technologies. To highlight this program's strategic use, the Center for Translational Research will host a dynamic, weeklong lunchtime conference featuring experts across the Colorado and national innovation ecosystem.

Campus community, public invited to virtual forum on conference center, Athens Street building removals

CU Boulder is hosting an open virtual community forum on April 27 to provide an overview of two key construction projects—the Limelight conference center and hotel and the demolition of buildings at 19th and Athens streets that will help make the way for new on-campus housing

Campus officials will provide an overview of each project, as well as timelines and measures being taken to minimize construction impacts. 

Registration is required, and questions can be submitted in advance via the online registration form.
