The Colorado Presidential Primary is March 5, but ballots are mailed to eligible voters beginning Monday, Feb 12. Check your voter registration if you recently moved, and/or get registered today!

Who can vote

• Registered Democrats will receive only the Democratic Party ballot.
• Registered Republicans will receive only the Republican Party ballot.
• Unaffiliated voters will be mailed both Democratic and Republican ballots but can only vote and return one ballot.

Change, withdraw party affiliation

While there is no registration deadline in Colorado, Feb. 12 is the deadline to change or withdraw party affiliation if you are registered with another party (other than Democratic, Republican or unaffiliated) if you wish to vote. New Colorado voters can register and vote up to and including Election Day (see below for in-person voting).

Register to vote, check your registration

If you plan to vote in Colorado (either in Boulder or your home county), please register to vote or check your registration.

Feb. 26 is the last date to register/update your registration and still be mailed a ballot. After that, you can still vote, but you will need to go to a voter center to register or vote in-person. There will be a voter center in the UMC beginning Monday, Feb. 26, and you may use your Buff OneCard to register and vote.

Because both party ballots are the same statewide, any eligible Colorado voter can cast a ballot at the UMC Vote Center.

Students living on campus

Boulder County Elections has a specific way you must list your on-campus address on your voter registration record in order to get your mail ballot. Visit the Boulder County student voting guidelines.

Cast your ballot

Simply drop off your mail ballot on campus at the 24-hour dropbox at the UMC by Election Day Tuesday, March 5 (or go vote in person). This box may be used by any Colorado voter; out-of-county ballots will be rerouted to the correct county.
