Want to run for CUSG representative at large? Learn how to submit a petition packet

The CU Student Government fall 2023 elections will be kicking off on Monday, Nov. 5. If you would like to run for a representative at large position, start by getting 50 signatures on a petition packet. Email the CUSG parliamentarian at cusg.parliamentarian@colorado.edu to receive your packet.

A petition packet is a Google Form you use to collect the 50 signatures you need to be listed on the ballot. Once completed, this document allows you to run for rep at large. When you get someone to “sign” your petition packet, they should include their student ID number, CU email and name. CUSG uses this information to determine that signatories are fee-paying students, as only fee-paying students can sign petition packets and vote in CUSG elections.

Completed petition packets, with all 50 signatures, are due on Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. at the mandatory candidates’ meeting, which will be held in UMC 425.
