Accepting applications for iSAT student research assistant positions

The NSF National AI Institute for Student-AI Teaming is inviting applications for part-time student research assistants. iSAT brings together a geographically distributed team from nine universities with partners from academia, K-12 school districts and industry to address how artificial intelligence (AI) can collaborate with students and teachers to promote meaningful learning experiences for all students.

The research assistants will assist with data collection and processing, both in the classroom and the lab. These positions provide exciting learning opportunities by being part of an interdisciplinary team of leading scientists and educators.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with data collection in classrooms in local school districts (note that some schools require proof of an approved COVID-19 vaccination)
  • Assist with data collection in the laboratory
  • Assist with data processing including curation, annotation, transcription (remote)
  • Other administrative responsibilities as assigned

What we require

  • A flexible schedule with 4–5 consecutive hours available for data collection (we will work around your class schedule)
  • Reliable transportation to and from data collection sites (you will be compensated for the approximate 15–45 minute commuting time and mileage)
  • Strong communication, customer service and teamwork skills

What we offer

  • Part-time position 10–20 hours per week
  • Pay $18 per hour
