If you are an existing user of the Alertus mobile safety app, you should know that as of Friday, Dec. 20, 2024, the app will be discontinued and replaced with a new safety app called AlertAware Mobile.
Some CU Boulder faculty and staff members may have used the app as a supplemental notification for CU alerts and to communicate with building managers.
If you’re an existing Rave Guardian mobile safety app user, these changes do not impact you.
Here are five reasons to download the Rave Guardian mobile safety app, which also provides an additional way to receive CU alerts.
If you wish to continue to use the Alertus app, you will need to download the new AlertAware Mobile app. Download the iOS version or the Android version.

Please consider participating in our study, Advancing and Validating Galvanic Disorientation Simulation Trainer.
In this experiment, you will wear a galvanic vestibular stimulation headset. This system senses how you are tilted and stimulates your vestibular system with small amounts of electrical current through electrodes based behind your ears, near your forehand and back of your head. The system is intended to make you feel like an astronaut returning from spaceflight. During the experiment, you will perform tasks like reporting how you feel you are tilted, standing balance, walking or using a joystick to keep yourself upright in a chair.
You will be paid for the time you spend participating in this study.
If you have questions, would like additional information or are interested in participating, please respond via email. The principal investigator for this study is Torin Clark. You must be 18–65 years old to participate in this study.

University Libraries, the Recreation Center, the UMC and the Health and Wellness Department publish their respective hours on their websites.
For more information about building access protocols, visit the campus building access page.
During maintenance that affects the portals, like that scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday, you can still access Canvas and some other services directly.
