You are invited to participate in a study investigating human hearing, conducted by Donghyeon Yun at CU Boulder, Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. The study involves listening to sentences with a hearing device and making judgements about them. The study typically takes two sessions to complete, lasting 1.5 to two hours per session, scheduled at your convenience. $30 per session will be provided in the form of an Amazon gift card.

UROP's Mentor Award recognizes campus individuals supporting undergraduates on research and creative projects. Nominations are due by Friday, April 11.
Students are invited to nominate their mentors regardless of program funding, and we welcome submissions from early-stage researchers and creative practitioners. Students are able to submit group nominations by including a list of additional contributors on the form.
Tenured/tenure-track research faculty, teaching faculty, postdocs and graduate students at CU Boulder and the Anschutz Medical Campus are eligible for the award. Recipients will have the option to award a $1,000 UROP Assistantship to an eligible undergraduate of their choosing in the next academic year.
Our research team is seeking undergraduates to participate in a brief in-person study about decision-making. The study will take place in our Muenzinger lab (Room D0014). Any undergraduate may participate, no demographic restrictions. This study will take no more than 30 minutes.
Each participant will be compensated with a $15 digital gift card.

Join the Young Emerging Adult Research Study (YEARS) study at CU Boulder and CU Anschutz (IRB# 23-2067) to understand emotions. Earn $25 per hour (up to approximately $400 total) for up to three study session phases (one hour and 45 minutes). Must be 18–25 years, be able to attend in-person sessions, and have a personal history of bipolar disorder or no mental health history.

The Boulder Office of Disaster Management will begin audible outdoor emergency warning siren testing on Monday, April 7, at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Tests are conducted on the first Monday of each month from April through August, when regional flooding can occur. Planned tests may be canceled during severe weather events or other emergencies.
Siren tests ensure that all systems and procedures are working properly during peak flood season and are meant to be audible outdoors throughout Boulder County.
Warning sirens provide those who are outdoors and in high-risk areas with audible alerts for flash flood warnings, tornado warnings, or upon request from first responders for imminent life threats.
In emergencies, the sirens will broadcast a voice message immediately following the siren signal to inform the public of the situation and what actions should be taken.
CU Boulder community members may hear the siren tests from many outdoor locations on Main Campus as well as East Campus, Research Park and South Campus. The audible sirens are designed to reach people who are outdoors, not indoors.
The tests are a good reminder to all students, faculty and staff to ensure they’re signed up for alerts for both on-campus and off-campus emergencies. Information on CU Boulder Alerts can be found here, including user sign-up and how to find confirmed, accurate information in an emergency.
Anyone with an @colorado.edu email address is automatically registered to receive CU Boulder’s emergency and safety alert emails. To improve your situational awareness, it is also recommended that you opt in with a mobile number during class registration or onboarding as a new employee.

The Boulder Office of Disaster Management distributes emergency alerts for significant incidents, including natural disasters, via a system called Everbridge. Campus community members with Boulder addresses are automatically opted in to the Everbridge system.
Those who live outside of Boulder but want to be aware of emergency notifications in the area must sign up for BoCo Alerts.
This is a good resource for understanding the region’s various emergency alert systems.
