The Volunteer Resource Center is hosting a new Volunteer Management Training series to provide individuals and organizations with resources and skills necessary to effectively manage, develop and retain volunteers. Participants will leave each module with key takeaways to implement in their own organizations and volunteer programs. Open to CU Boulder students, staff and faculty as well as nonprofit organizations. Volunteer management is a key element of the success of your program or event. The Volunteer Management Trainings will take place monthly through the spring semester. You can attend individual sessions based on needs and knowledge, or the whole series for a more holistic education on volunteer management.

Legal trouble? Student Legal Services can help

Student Legal Services is a small law office dedicated exclusively to serving the legal needs of CU Boulder students, sponsored by the CU Boulder Student Government.

Our mission is to help students resolve or minimize their legal situations so they can focus on school. SLS has several attorneys on staff who can help students make sense of their legal situations, explain their options and help them prevent their legal issues from spiraling out of control. We’ll even tell students when we think they don’t need lawyers.

Participants needed for a research study on internet memes

Do you love memes? Do you often find yourself laughing at them and sharing them with friends and family? If so, you would be perfect for a one-time, one-hour focus group discussion about them! We are interested in knowing more about how people interact with memes on social media and what is going on inside their heads when they see them. Focus group meetings will be conducted in-person on the CU Boulder Main Campus during the month of November. Participants will be compensated with a $10 Target gift card. If you are interested in participating or have questions, please contact Chris Vardeman at chris.vardeman@colorado.edu.
