The Regional Transportation District (RTD) is seeking public feedback on proposed service reductions due to a shortage of bus and lightrail operators. RTD has set up an online survey and other avenues for feedback. Responses required by Nov. 17.

Learning assistants and LA mentors will present how they have developed as LAs and LA mentors and share ideas of how to strengthen their partnerships with their faculty and students at this Dec. 5 poster session.

The Cognitive Development Center in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is looking for children ages birth to 13 years old who are interested in playing games that will help teach us about self-control, language and cognitive strategies. 

A visit, scheduled at your convenience, lasts about 60 minutes. Babysitting is available for siblings. Parents are compensated for travel, and kids receive a fun prize.

Where to turn in your voted ballot

There is a 24-hour ballot drop box at 1669 Euclid Ave. It is located outside on the sidewalk south of the University Memorial Center (UMC), closest to the Euclid Street entrance of the UMC. This is not a drive-up location; parking is limited.

• For more 24-hour ballot drop boxes and drive-by drop-off locations visit https://boco.org/Vote and click on ballot drop-off and voting locations.
• Colorado voters can return their mail ballot to any county clerk and recorder office in Colorado. This includes the 24-hour mail ballot box located closest to Euclid Avenue outside the UMC and in the Voter Service and Polling Center inside the UMC. 
• Ballots must be dropped in a ballot box no later than 7 p.m. Nov. 5.
• It is too late to mail in your ballot.

How and where to vote and register same-day, vote in-person, get a replacement ballot, and more

There is a Voter Service and Polling Center in the UMC on the 3rd Floor. It is open:

• 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4
• 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5 – Election Day

At the UMC Voter Service and Polling Center, you can:

• Drop off your ballot (any Colorado voter)
• Register to vote / Update your registration
• Cast a Boulder County ballot in person (**NEW** Voters from other counties can request a statewide-only ballot at any Voter Service Center in Colorado. This is a ballot that does not have local issues, but allows out-of-county voters to at least vote on issues/contests that are at the state level)
• Request a replacement ballot
• Vote using equipment and facilities for persons with disabilities

Remember to:

Here are some things to know about withdrawing from a class:

• Withdrawing from a course will not affect your overall GPA. 
• The course will appear on your transcript with a “W” instead of an academic grade. 
• You will still be responsible for 100% of the tuition and fees. 
• If you drop below 12 credits, you will not be considered a full-time student. 

Talk to your advisor about your options before you decide to withdraw from a class. They may be able to help you find an academic resource to support your learning. 

If you decide to withdraw from a course, follow the steps on the Office of the Registrar’s Drop a Class website.

Are you aged 18–35 and healthy? 

CU Boulder is seeking participants for a research study investigating how sleep loss affects decision-making and your body’s ability to digest and process the foods you eat. 

Participants must be healthy adults, ages 18–35, who normally sleep less than 6.5 hours per night during the school/workweek. Participants will complete six laboratory visits at the CU Boulder Sleep and Chronobiology Laboratory and six weeks of at-home sleep monitoring. Four of the visits will last between 0.5-2.5 hours and two of the visits will last about one day.
