Federal student loan on-ramp program ending on Sept. 30

illustration of a graduate paying loans

Last year, the Department of Education created an on-ramp to student loan repayment by providing an additional grace period for borrowers who may have been unable to begin repaying their loans immediately. During this period, borrowers have been able to make partial or late payments and miss payments without the associated consequences or negative credit reports. This period of protection ends on Sept. 30.

Register your off-campus parties to avoid an expensive ticket

Party registration

Having friends over to celebrate being back in Boulder? Register your party to lessen your chances of receiving an expensive ticket. By registering your party with Off-Campus Housing & Neighborhood Relations, the registrant will get a 20-minute warning before police officers arrive if your residence receives a noise complaint.

Students must take an in-person orientation before using the party registration program. Visit UMC 313 or email OCHNR at och@colorado.edu to learn more.

Students: Join paid study on stress and coping

  1. At the beginning of the study and in your third semester, you will complete a 4–6 hour lab visit.
  2. In your second semester, you will complete two sets of online questionnaires (<1 hour)
  3. Each semester you will complete a short (1–3 minutes) survey every day for three weeks.

The study takes place over the course of three semesters and you will be compensated for your participation. Eligible participants can make up to $446–$470 for completing the study!

Participate in a movement learning study with robotics

Come play a game with a robot! The Neuromechanics Lab needs volunteers for a study on effort and motor learning. We are interested in how effort during a movement changes how you learn. The insights from this study will help us design optimize rehabilitation and movement training.

In the game, you use a robotic handle to guide a cursor to a series of targets.

You must:

  • Be between 18–35 years old
  • Be right-handed
  • Have no movement impairments that could impact your ability to complete a reaching task
  • Have no upper-arm injuries within the last year

The study will involve about one hour of testing in our campus laboratory (1B21 ECSL, 1111 Engineering Drive, Boulder, CO 80309). We will schedule a 90-minute visit (in case of delays) at your convenience.

You will be compensated for your time and effort with an Amazon gift card.

Participate in a locomotion and learning study

Walk on a treadmill with motion capture!

The Neuromechanics Lab needs volunteers for a study on learning and effort in a walking task. We are interested in how the effort involved in a movement impacts how you learn in a new environment. The task involves walking on a treadmill with separate belts for each foot at walking speeds.

You must be English-speaking, between 18–35 years old, have normal or corrected vision, no movement control or vestibular problems, and no recent lower-limb orthopedic surgeries or broken bones.

The study will involve one visit to our campus laboratory (1B21 ECSL, 1111 Engineering Drive, Boulder, CO 80309), lasting 90 minutes. Both visits will include motion-capture of your walking gait.

You will be compensated with an Amazon gift card.
