Full of music, magic and melodrama, The Winter’s Tale has something for everyone—family feuds and family reunions, a singing pickpocket, disguises and mistaken identity, a shepherds’ dance party, and the most famous stage direction in Shakespeare (“exit, pursued by a bear”). In this 10-week class, students will rehearse an abridged version of The Winter’s Tale and perform it for friends and family on Nov. 12.

For both advanced performers and newcomers to Shakespeare, this class is a fun and engaging way to build language and performance skills, work with other teenagers as part of a team, and connect the ideas and conflicts in Shakespeare's world to our own. Open to students of all experience levels and abilities.

Flower Child is looking for applicants who are passionate about convenient, nutritious eating and who love to make people smile. This study will help researchers understand a one-session treatment for depression. Our goal is to make brief therapy for depression work for more people. 

Participating in this study involves one to three sessions at the Whisman Well-being, Health, and Relationship Functioning (WHARF) Lab in the Muenzinger Psychology Building at CU Boulder. If interested, you would first complete a brief screening questionnaire to determine your initial eligibility for the study. The first session requires one hour and 30 minutes. During this session, you will complete surveys, tasks and a brief discussion about how you think and feel. You will be given $10 for your time and may be invited back for two additional study sessions.

If you are eligible to continue, you will return for a one-hour and 30-minute treatment session. During this session you will work with a therapist to generate practical steps you can take to help improve how you are feeling. You will be asked to practice the skills discussed for two weeks and then return to the laboratory for a final visit. The last visit will take one hour and will consist of some surveys and tasks. You’ll receive $15 for attending the last two sessions. 

We will contact you one month after your last visit via email with a brief survey that asks how you are feeling and your impressions of the treatment.

Looking for healthy women, ages 18-35, to participate in two laboratory visits of approximately 3.85 days each at the CU Boulder Sleep and Chronobiology Laboratory.

Recently, Google redesigned the Gmail interface introducing features designed to make its users more productive. This new interface has been available to CU Boulder Gmail account owners, who are primarily students, since May and will become the default email interface starting July 30.

Facilities Management will be conducting fire alarm system testing for several campus buildings from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 28. 

During the testing, the building fire alarm system strobes, horns and speakers will be on. The tests will be conducted during the day and should take no longer than half an hour in each building.
