Staging Shakespeare in a war zone: Values and consequences

Join the CU Boulder Friends of the Libraries Monday, Aug. 29, in the University Theatre to hear Qais Akbar Omar, author of A Night in the Emperor's Garden, share his experience staging Love’s Labour's Lost in Kabul in 2005. It was the first production of the Bard in Afghanistan in 30 years and also included female cast members. There will be a small reception at 5 p.m. followed by Mr. Omar’s lecture at 5:30 p.m. The author will sign copies of his book afterward. Register for free now
