Sacred Balance: Mixing Ancient Hopi Culture with a Modern Mystery Series

The Friends of the CU Libraries will host mystery writer Shannon Baker on Friday, June 5, at 7 p.m. in the Wolf Law School Building on the CU-Boulder Campus. An opening reception begins at 6:30 p.m. Baker will share how she incorporates Hopi history, culture and beliefs into her Nora Abbott book series - a fast-paced mix of murder, environmental issues and Hopi Indians. The newest book in this series, Tattered Legacy, is set in the red rocks of Moab, UT.
