This program will focus on the medicalization of trans identity and its impact on the trans community, how access to healthcare impacts this identity, the stigma created by medicalizing this identity, as well as attempts being made to move away from this system. Discussion will explore how these issues affect trans people in ways other identities within the LGBTQ spectrum do not.
