100 Navajo Rugs auction to benefit CU Museum textile collection

More than 100 antique and contemporary Navajo weavings from the Toh-Atin Gallery will be on display and on sale at the 32nd annual 100 Navajo Rugs auction, open to the public, collectors and the curious.

This event is coordinated by the Toh-Atin Gallery to support the ongoing care and preservation of the Joe Ben Wheat Navajo Textile Collection at the CU Museum of Natural History. The collection of Southwestern textiles is one of the most comprehensive, complete and best-researched collections in the world, including more than 900 pieces.

Christina Cain, collections manager of anthropology, says, “Proceeds from the auction pay for this amazing work and has literally added years to the lives of these pieces.”
